Cancellation Policy

Paid members can cancel from Account by opening the Stripe Billing Portal. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period.

Cancel before the renewal date shown in the Billing Portal to avoid the next recurring charge. Removing a card, leaving a private group, or stopping use of BTG does not by itself cancel the subscription.

You will keep paid benefits until the effective cancellation date unless the membership is ended earlier because of fraud, abuse, chargeback, or a serious community-safety issue. Ending access for misconduct does not remove statutory refund rights.

Available upgrades, downgrades, and monthly or annual billing changes are managed through the Stripe Billing Portal. Stripe shows any immediate charge, credit, or next renewal amount before confirmation.

A plan change becomes effective according to the billing information displayed by Stripe at the time of the change. Review that information before confirming.

Your free BTG account and public profile remain available after a paid membership ends. Paid community access, voting, priority selection, sponsor placement, and paid badges stop when entitlement ends.

An identity claim that was already approved remains connected to your account. Cancellation does not reverse archive merges or verified ownership decisions.

Cancellation stops future renewal. It does not automatically refund a completed charge; see the Refund Policy for billing errors, cooling-off rights, and exceptional requests.
